At Sahara Grill, we’ve raised the bar on all-natural Mediterranean cuisine. Why not elevate your dining experience with our craft cocktails, full beer and wine bar? Sahara’s extensive drink menu has a lot to offer. We’re proud of our selection, which features locally sourced cocktail ingredients plus a wide range of Michigan craft beers and wines.
Sahara Grill’s craft cocktails begin with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Our Aviation cocktail features Valentine Liberator Gin distilled in nearby Ferndale. The American Distilling Institute named it the Best American Gin – and with its perfect balance of bold and subtle flavors, that’s no surprise. Delectable aromas of honey cardamom pastry, citrus, anise, cinnamon and candied juniper pair perfectly with the lemon, Luxardo Maraschino and Crème de Violette in this uniquely Michigan version of a classic American cocktail.
The Aviation is just one example. Our Basil Smash also has Liberator Gin plus White Blossom Vodka, another Valentine favorite sweetened with sugars from Michigan-grown beets. Even the mint, lime, lemon, rose and other plant-based ingredients and fresh and carefully curated to create a second-to-none experience with our craft cocktails.
Our beer menu includes the finest locally-produced craft beers and ales. You’ll see Soft Parade, a fruit ale produced by Shorts Brewing Company in Elk Rapids. Soft Parade delivers unmatched flavor: fresh pureed strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries with rye. You’ll also see selections from Old Nation and Bell’s – the M-43 NE IPA and Oberon American wheat ale, to be precise. Along with classic American, German and Lebanese brews, our beer selection has plenty to delight your palate.
Are you in the mood for champagne, rosé, white, red or sparkling wine? Sahara Grill’s wine bar offers a stunning variety of American, French, Italian and Lebanese wines. One example is Moet & Chandon’s Nectar Imperial Rosé – it draws its characteristic fruity flavor from ripe berries and cherries, enhanced by herbal and floral notes. Chateau Chantal’s Riesling Late Harvest is a Michigan-produced white wine exhibiting an impressive range of flavors: honey, peach, apricot, melon and green apple. The Traverse City winery expertly balances sweetness and acidity and pairs well with many kinds of food.
Sahara Grill proudly offers two bourbon barrel-aged red wines: the Federalist Cabernet Sauvignon and Cooper & Thief’s Red Wine Blend. The Federalist’s Cab is a full-bodied craft wine with hints of cassis and black cherry. Cooper & Thief describes its Red as “dark and jammy” with a hint of oak. These bold reds complement dishes with equally bold flavors.
Sahara Grill offers traditional Mediterranean flavors with a modern twist. Whether you’re dining with us or in the comfort of your home, our cocktails, wines and beers are the perfect complements to our farm-to-table dishes.
